Queer clubbing in the centre of Nice
Located at 6 Rue Eugène Emanuel, a stone’s throw from Place Masséna, Le Glam takes over from Nice’s other bars until 4.30 am. The venue is laid out lengthways with a central bar, a dance floor and a raised stage at the far end of the room. It attracts a mixed, cross-generational crowd, ranging from regulars in their fifties to twenty-somethings, supplemented from April to October by an international clientele.
Three nights, three atmospheres
The weekend offers a different vibe every night:
- Friday: a local, friendly atmosphere centred on pop, recent hits and disco.
- Saturday: the most intense and electric night, featuring dance and house music. Drag shows start between 1.30 am and 2.00 am on stage, with 30 to 45 minutes of performances interspersed with DJ sets.
- Sunday: a festive and quirky atmosphere with kitsch gems from the 1980s to the 2000s, very popular with off-duty catering staff.
Good to know
Arrive between 12.15 am and 1.00 am to get in without having to jostle outside and to drop your coat off at the cloakroom in peace. The long, narrow room heats up quickly: make sure you’ve got something light to wear under your coat. To order straight away, approach the bar from the sides rather than from the centre of the dance floor.
Our team's take
We love Le Glam for its role as a genuine queer nightclub right in the city centre, where most other venues close earlier. Saturdays remain our favourite time to catch the drag shows: we position ourselves in the middle of the dance floor around 1.15 am to get as close as possible to the performers, or near the bar steps to look out over the crowd. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious. You’ll find a mix of local regulars and visitors passing through, with no stuffy dress code.
