In Lyon, gay and LGBT parties are concentrated on two evenings: Saturdays first, then Fridays. The Queen Club, at the foot of the slopes near Les Terreaux, opens on both nights from 11 pm: on Fridays, Afro house and drag shows; on Saturdays, pop and disco-house on a packed dance floor. It’s the city’s most regular venue.
Elsewhere, collectives organise their own parties in mainstream venues: La Glitch Party, Le Sucre and HEAT on the Confluence quays, La Pente in the Croix-Rousse, the Sound Club and l’Usine in Vaise, La Rayonne in Villeurbanne, and Livestation DIY in Gerland. There are few events on Thursdays, and Sundays are almost always quiet.
