A mini-club open seven nights a week
Located on Boulevard Pierre-Paul Riquet in Toulouse, the Limelight welcomes you every evening from 11.45 pm to 7 am. Entry is open to all and free of charge. With its intimate capacity of around 100 people, the venue combines the energy of a late-night bar with the vibe of a club. The crowd includes regulars, students and visitors, all coming together in a safe, predominantly gay environment that’s open to everyone. At the door, the welcome is friendly but vigilant: come with a smile and a respectful attitude. Party outfits, clubbing gear or streetwear are all fine – no fuss.
Dance floor and heated terrace
Inside, the bar and the dance floor are right next to each other, where house, techno, pop and Latin beats fill the air. To take a breather, the club has a covered outdoor terrace that’s heated all night long. It’s the central spot for chatting without having to shout, although the smoke and crowds build up quickly there from midnight onwards.
Between 2.30 am and 5 am, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, the place gets packed. Service at the bar slows down a bit and the cramped cloakroom quickly becomes crowded.
Good to know
Tip from a regular: arrive around half past midnight or 1 am to drop off your belongings and order straight away. If you’re planning to leave around 3.30 am or 4 am, pick up your coat a little early to avoid the queue in the narrow entrance. Make sure you have some €2 coins for the cloakroom too.
Our team's take
We love this intimate, hybrid venue where you can have a drink or a dance without paying an entrance fee. The atmosphere is friendly, intergenerational and safe, with a predominantly gay crowd. The heated terrace remains a real highlight for a quiet chat, even if the smoke does get quite thick as the night goes on. To avoid the rush at the bar and, above all, the bottleneck at the cloakroom in the narrow entrance, we recommend arriving around 12.30 am. Remember to have €2 in change so you can leave your belongings without any hassle.
