Let's Queer 2 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈: Queer Performances / Karaoke / DJ Set ⌖ Le Bon Queer returns to the Sonic for its famous LET’S QUEER party 👠 Come sing, dance, and celebrate the end of this apocalyptic summer! 🔥 ⇝💰 ADMISSION = PAY WHAT YOU WANT (suggested: 8€) 💸⇜ ⌯ True to our values—because we don’t want to leave anyone behind—admission to our events is always pay-what-you-can! Everyone should have access to queer community events featuring high-quality artistic programming, including those in the most precarious situations. 🤝 ⌯ But organizing cool parties with high-quality content—and paying the artists and other people involved in our events—costs money! To help us keep going and avoid ending the year in the red, we need your support. 🤝 We suggest an entry fee of €8 for this event, but the real price is 👇 👉 PAY WHAT YOU CAN 👉 That’s also how solidarity works: if you can afford to give more, let’s go! 🤑 That will make up for someone who can give less—or maybe nothing at all. And if you can’t give as much, no problem—we’re not here to police you! ⌯ Often victims of our own success (oops!), we’re also offering online ticketing. Three price options are available there, but the real “pay what you want” option will only be available on-site on the day of the event 💵 ֎ SCHEDULE and lineup ֍ ◌ 8:00 PM Doors open 💒 ◌ 8:30 PM⌯ Come support the local drag scene: our artists, drag kings, drag queens, queer performers, and freaks of all kinds! 👠 Queer open mic hosted by @Bobtastic and @Rivière, who are emerging from their oceanic kingdom just for you. @Bobtastic, a master seducer who’ll turn you on with his Triton-like voice, a street-corner drug dealer by day @Self-proclaimed Queen of the Queers, Goddess of Troubled Waters, and Nymph of Countercurrents, Rivière is a non-binary anarcho-drag queen. This year’s other featured stars are: @Odile-versatile, the incredible graphic designer behind BON Queer, TravestTwink, and DragBoylesque: Here to put the ass in the class struggle. @serenity.linton: A cursed fairy turned emancipated writer, Serenity Linton transforms our sorrows and rage into bewitching dances—because for her, one thing is certain: no revolution begins without a little game of seduction. @LaVoixcassée is a rather mysterious yet very sensual woman; she plays with the conventions of striptease and burlesque, which is what makes her such a formidable dancer. @jamietreffor, a novice drag queen and trans activist, finally has enough money to be as beautiful as she imagines herself to be @lulu.menace Lulu does all sorts of different things to fill her time outside of corporate life—which often includes being a little angry and listening to PNL or Booba while doing her bicep curl routine. Now, she’s going to read some stuff to you @chronique_debene Ébène is a multifaceted, poetic artist whose words resonate with journeys, identities, cultures, and emotions, delivered with a free and sensitive voice. ⌖ QUEEROKÉ OF PRIDE (10 PM) ⌖ 🎤 ⌯ Since everything is chaos, there’s only one solution: lift your head, puff out your chest, and scream from the top of our lungs, “WHAT’S GOING ON!” To celebrate our pride—in the cold and in the flames—come sing with us, prove that you exist—WE WILL SURVIVE! 🎶 ⌯ We’ve got a collaborative playlist lined up—we’re planning a list of bangers, but if by some chance we didn’t think of your favorite tracks, you can always request your song when you get there! If you really want us to play your music, message us on social media and tag us in your story 📱 ⌖ DJ SET ⌖ 💫 ◌ 12:30 a.m. @nonowcassimiro: An exceptional Waacking/House dancer in Lyon and beyond, he’s coming to spin a BAIL FUNK set with influences from the Brazilian Queer scene… but that’s not all! ◌ 2:00 AM @lolaorsomething / A hyperpop, hyperfem DJ set with estrogen-fueled transitions—Charli, Gaga, basically all the divas to twerk to and make the place shake, with slayyyter as a guest to crank it up 🪩🔊💋 ◌ 3:30 AM Music ends & doors close 💥 ⇝ LE BON QUEER ⇜ ⌯ Le Bon Queer is the founding organization behind the famous LGBTIQ+ women-only support and tips group—the Facebook group of the same name, which now has over 4,000 members. ✊ ⌯ Le Bon Queer was established as an organization in 2022 to build connections and networks of solidarity within the queer community, moving from the virtual to the real world. 🤝 ⌯ There are numerous initiatives: ◌ Monthly “Apéro Queer” gatherings at various queer, feminist, and activist venues in Lyon and Villeurbanne to provide concrete opportunities to meet 🍻 ◌ Events such as “L’Inconditionnel·le” in support of LGBTIQ+ migrants, notably in collaboration with the Lyon-based organization AIMEL+ 🏳‍⚧✊🏿✊🏽✊🏼🏳‍🌈 ◌ Concerts or Queerokés at iconic venues of underground/punk/libertarian culture such as the Sonic, GrrrndZero, or the Atelier des Canulars 💥 ⌯ At Le Bon Queer, our goal is always to enable as many people as possible—including those in the most precarious situations—to enjoy queer culture and community. To achieve this, one of our tools is the “pay-what-you-can” admission fee, which is now part of our DNA. 💸 ⇝⚠ (IN)ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ⚠⇜ Unfortunately, Le Sonic is not accessible to people in wheelchairs. It is a three-level barge, featuring a two-level deck and a concert hall, both of which are accessible only by stairs. The restrooms are also very narrow. We are sincerely sorry.
