AFRO QUEER Feminist Party A party for lesBian and/or trans people 🌈✨ Come and get your groove on in an intimate, welcoming setting ❤️ 2 levels ⚡️2 vibes • Ground floor with games freely available, chill vibe • DJ set in the basement with a dancefloor and a cosy sofa area, in a more festive atmosphere ✨️ CONCERT @gaiaelsey | 20:00-20:45 Sunny and accessible, Gaïa Elsey slides her pop into territory that is at times strange, electronic and unexpected. A journey between contemporary soul and Réunionese heritage, always looking to avoid being locked into a single aesthetic. Songwriter-compo 🔥 DJ SET @sssngt | 21:30-23:30 Sonny is a Warsaw-based DJ with Kenyan roots, exploring her many facets through music. Expect a sensual blend of Baile Funk, Jersey Club, R&B and Afropop, or perhaps an Afro-electro set overflowing with energy — it'll be a surprise. 💦 DJ SET @dieyna_ | 23:30-01:30 Buur Baba is a DJ who celebrates Afro-descendant sounds from around the world. With sets mixing Gqom, Deep Afro House, Batida, Jersey Club... she takes her audience into a vibrant and unique atmosphere. 💸 The party is free to enter, so bring some cash for the hat at the concert ⚠️ The concert and the DJ sets will take place in the basement of the bar, accessible by stairs --- NO CIS MEN --- because of the large crowds on Fridays & Saturdays, we are limiting access for our allies so that they don't take the place of the people the venue is meant for. 🌈 Core principles of the Cab' 💕 Kindness 💕 Consent 💕 No misgendering 💕 Be mindful of the space you take up / don't push or jostle people (80% of disabilities are not visible) 🌈 Practical info & accessibility • There are stairs to reach rue de l'Hirondelle via place St Michel; you can avoid them by going round via rue Gît-le-coeur. • Wheelchair- and crutch-accessible toilet at the entrance of the bar. • No steps to reach the counter to order, but two steps to reach the first room on the ground floor, with 12 seats at wheelchair height (booking possible), and one step (with a ramp) to reach the back room, with 22 seats at wheelchair height. • A portable access ramp is available at the bar; the bartenders will be on hand to set it up for you. • The performance / DJ set space is in the basement of the Cabaret des Merveille, which is reached by 2 staircases: the 1st has very high steps, the 2nd is less steep and has a handrail to lean on, but it is still a full floor. The bartenders can accompany you if needed. No lift. • Earplugs and 3M noise-cancelling headphones are available free of charge on request at the bar. • Drinks can be served in ergonomic glasses and/or with foldable straws if needed. • The sound volume and the lighting of the bar can be adjusted independently in each of the different areas of the bar; the bartenders can adapt them on request.
