🌈🔥🪩 BOUM'S 4TH BIRTHDAY - QUE JUSTICE SOIT FÊTE!
They say love lasts 3 years… Well, at Boum, it's been 4 years already that we've loved each other, kissed, danced, screamed, performed, partied and made BOUM together. And frankly, we have zero desire for it to stop! ❤️🔥
4 years of drag shows, cabarets, completely wild performances, DJ sets, shows, concerts, karaokes, encounters, conversations, glitter, sweat, rhinestones, crowns, clacking heels, dancing bodies and nights that spill over.
4 years of welcoming incredible artists, activist collectives, marvellous creatures and people who make this place what it is today.
But BOUM is also so much more than a dancefloor: it's a place for meeting, freedom, refuge, partying and solidarity. A place where you can be yourself, love whoever you want, experiment, find each other and build community.
And speaking of which, let's talk solidarity. Because it's not just a pretty word to put on a poster, especially in the times we're living in.
To blow out our four candles, we wanted to share them with a collective that matters: the LEGAL TEAM MARSEILLE @legalteam.mars!
THE PARTY IS POLITICAL. AND SO ARE OUR PARTIES!
The Legal Team Marseille is a collective that refuses to leave people alone in the face of this anxiety-inducing police repression. They provide free legal advice and support to those affected, and organise collective solidarity to help cover the costs of proceedings: lawyers, court fees and other expenses.
Because we can't always prevent the baton blows or the trials, but we can refuse to leave the people who suffer them to fend for themselves.
Solidarity right down to the glitter: 100% of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Legal Team Marseille! All the artists have also chosen to donate their entire fee to the collective. ❤️🔥
An immense show of solidarity and a beautiful way of standing together as one. Because partying is great. Partying to support our struggles and other people's is even better!
REPRESSION TARGETS INDIVIDUALS. LET'S MEET IT WITH A UNITED COMMUNITY FRONT! LET JUSTICE BE DONE!
Because joy is political. Because our very existence is a celebration. And because after 4 years, BOUM still isn't done going BOUM! ❤️🔥
