Waack In Paris Beginner Vol. V This is a Whacking battle aimed at beginners to the discipline. In a nutshell: Whacking, originally known as Punking, is a queer dance that originated in Los Angeles in the 1970s. It was practised in gay clubs (in L.A.) where posing, interpretation, expression, dance and ‘strike with force’ became one and the same to the beat of disco music. Today, Whacking is on the rise. It can be seen in films, theatres, the opera, music videos and even at the Olympic Games opening ceremony. Why not come and discover it at its source? In a club? This event is open to everyone. There are just a few requirements: kindness and a good atmosphere.
