Soirée de Lancement : Le Phénomène Chemsex | 15.09.26

Launch event for the book *Le Phénomène Chemsex*, published by Les Petits Matins. Brahim Bouselmi, a specialist in public health policy and a former healthcare professional in psychiatry and addiction treatment, and Emmanuel Cannou, a clinical psychologist, present their book on chemsex. In it, they trace the origins of the phenomenon, analyse its development and show how this practice, historically associated with the urban gay community, now affects a wider range of people and areas, including heterosexual men and women, young people and those living in rural areas. Moderated by Christophe Gascard, a journalist at France Télévisions, the event will address the health, social and human issues raised by chemsex, as well as the courses of action identified by the authors based on interviews conducted with professionals, organisations and those affected. It will be enriched by the testimonies of two people directly affected, which will provide a better understanding of the current realities of the phenomenon. The event will then be followed by a discussion with the audience, a book-signing session and a drinks reception. 15 September at 6.30 pm at La Bellevilloise.
