The Afterwork Agenda is back for the new season, and is taking this opportunity to announce the return of its Maquis! Join us on Thursday 3 September at La Bellevilloise to experience ‘Les Palabres du Maquis’ together. A unique experience where the energy of the African maquis meets Afro-queer magic! A chance to come together and have an open-hearted discussion about issues we’ve experienced and that affect us all. Jawu, host of the ‘Talkwing with Jawu’ podcast and editor of the eponymous magazine, will be joining our host Divine to lead this discussion, where the only rules are respect and excess! 🗣 On the programme: 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm: Settling in at Le Maquis (Icebreaker) To kick off the evening, we invite you to break the ice and get to know each other in a fun and relaxed way whilst playing classic Afro board games such as: Ludo, Awalé, Damier, Scrabble, Dominoes and Jenga. 🎲 8.00 pm – 10.00 pm: Let’s chat at Le Maquis (Main activity) We’ll then all come together for a moment of genuine and supportive discussion.
